We love the contemporary interior design and the art collection in the rooms. They offer a wide range of dinning experience that we really wanted to try, the rooms are all different but super nicely designed and decorated with a mix of modern and classic art pieces

Beautiful hotel set in a lovely location. Rooms are beautiful with lovely shower and luxury shampoo/body wash, nice extras including retro dab and large 46"TV. Bed was super comfy, probably the best bed and pillows we have ever slept on, food is very good with plenty of choice and the dining room is exceptional, breakfast in the morning was amazing with plenty of choice including beautiful filter coffee and fresh orange, I have stayed at quite a few hotels in Burford and this freshly refurbished hotel.is the best so far, staff are super efficient and friendly too.

Burford is a medium sized Cotswolds town - pretty, lots of places to eat and drink, local independent shops and a good place as a base to explore the wider Cotswolds area.
Burford Golf Club is very close, as is the Cotswolds Wildlife Park. Both recommended.

Burford is a great place to visit.
Burford is a great place to visit. The shops are individual and interesting and it is one of the best places for pubs with open fires in winter. It is a very attractive place with many interesting buildings. A short distance away is a wonderful garden centre.
We ate one night at the Highway Inn where we were staying and the next night at the Lamb. Good meals in both.

Very cosy hotel stayed before only do so on our
visits to Cheltenham races in the winter months.Easy to get into Cheltenham races through
out short cuts across country!!
Prices rooms little cheaper great compared to hotels
nearer Cheltenham eg Wyck Hill House also Queens
hotel Cheltenham amongst others stayed in past.
Great location for the Cotswolds.
The clue is in the name of the Hotel...
It is the Gateway.
Not posh or chintzy, just Proper comfy relaxed place to be. Especially when the open log fire was stoked.
No nonsense caring team who all work extremely well together, which does give confidence to all the guests.
The chefs know how to prepare and cook a real Full English, probs one of the best we have had.
The evening meals are equally good.
Would we re visit....You bet.
after reading the reviews I was a bit apprehensive but we were not disappointed
we had Lark room which is located right at the back of the hotel - very quiet and was one of the larger rooms fabulous walk in shower bed was very comfy - tv- tea/coffee making facilities fluffy white towels and robes!
we ate at the 2 sister hotels The Mermaid and The Burford
the Mermaid was fab!
breakfast was fabulous!
fantastic location for exploring the Cotswolds
The premises were super clean. Our room was very large. The room was well maintained, really clean and refurbished. The food was even better than what is served in well known pubs in London. The location was also good. It is not on the main road like some of other B&Bs and so there wasn’t any traffic noise and it was peaceful. The hotel is very close to Burford medieval road by car, is just 5 mins drive. I will definitely come back.
I loved to stay at the hotel, very clean and nice bed. The host and staff were so nice. The restaurant food is very good but a little bit expensive, but on taste, awesome. If I come back to the town I will definitely stay again no matter the price. Also, if you believe in ghost, you will have some company at the night in the room (I am sensible to this) but they are so chill so you're going to be ok. I enjoyed my stay there.
I loved the location of the property close to Burfords main street but out of the way in the countryside. The breakfast was exceptional with pastries to start followed by breakfast of your choice! The beer garden was my favourite part of this hotel just so peaceful and beautiful surroundings.
The location was perfect - very close to the centre of Burford. The hotel was a very interesting old buildings. Staff were nice. It was a cheap offer so we got what we paid for I suppose. Hopefully they will have new mattresses in the refurb! We stayed September 2022.
Loved everything from this hotel. The decoration is on point, the room and bed was so comfortable, with everything you need. The hotel itself is super cute, the staff was very nice. It's well located right on the main street of Burford. I will definitely be back.
Food was good for Breakfast and Dinner. I had both. The Hotel was central and easy to find. The staff were helpful and dealt with all my requests.
I liked Burford and the surrounding area. I would consider staying again. The Highway Inn was a mid range option
Lovely looking hotel in the glorious village of Burford. Friendly welcome, bag carried to room which was nice. Excellent breakfast with good service. When I pointed out the flies all over the fruit at breakfast it was immediately changed and covered.
Beautiful bed and breakfast a ten minute walk from Burford high street. We loved sitting on the patio and listening to all of the birds. Anna was a wonderful host and made a delicious breakfast. Great location to explore the all of the Cotswolds
The hotel and the room were really cool. We were in an attic space with handhewn 16th Century beams and a huge four-poster bed. The pub downstairs was a hot spot and other eating/drinking options were available in this remarkable historic town.
Absolutely lovely Inn in a perfect location by a river and close to beautiful villages of the Cotswolds. The staff were brilliant and the food was second to none. The place was spotlessly clean and very well managed.
Thé hôtel only 6 mins walk from Burford village centre, well sound proofed from A40 traffic, close to a lovely public footpath across fields. Very polite and friendly owner, wore a face mask at all times.
Everything. absolutely superb place to stay and relax. Sooo much better than a hotel in Burford and just a 10 minute walk. Log fire, beautiful kitchen, large sofas, great shower and the comfiest beds!
Hotel is on a river. Beautiful, spotless room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed, new and soft towers. Dinner and breakfast are excellent. Love everything about this hotel. Staff are very nice.
