Room was lovely, spacious, and clean, comfy bed also. Loved that we got to use facilities at the hydro and the breakfast was really good. The quirky museum like pieces scattered throughout the hotel were fascinating. The fact it was a hop, skip and a jump to all the lovely shops and Riverside walk.

Staff were lovely.
Free breakfast was a bonus.
The bed was really comfortable.
We liked the very welcoming community. The river was beautiful and the churches were impressive. Very scenic. Could do with more public loos being open and those that were open were expensive.
Some interesting looking restaurants. People's mural interesting. Some lovely little craft shops.

Staff in all areas were excellent.
Staff in all areas were excellent. Used the gym rather than the pool this time around preferring to chill out more than usual in the main lounge area. Food in the restaurant was lovely and the breakfast had almost everything you would want. If you want to eat out there are a number if options. Over our two visits we had excellent meals in The Mandarin (great team), The Cross Keys (Weatherspoons), Number 56 cafe (local favourite) Green Tree Hotel and The Crown.

Attractive riverside walks; castles within walking or driving distance; the town has good quality coffee shops and some gift shops; not far from Edinburgh if wanting to go further afield. Town has health centre and hospital. Also theatre. Some of town's attractions do not open until Easter.

A lovely wee town still blessed with many individual shops and supermarkets for self caterers. Also a good choice of eating-out places. For the fitter people or those with dogs there are many walks available and with a car there other locations to visit reasonably close by.
Although the hotel doesn't have its own car parking much free and easily accessible parking is available close to the hotel in the small town. The hotel has great access to the quaint town of Peebles and to the nearby River Tweed, a fantastic salmon river. The room was comfortable with all mod cons. Hotel food and drink prices were reasonable. The fullsome Scottish Breakfast included a large slice of Haggis!
Can't really comment on the facilities as we didn't use any
Our room at the top of the hotel in the eaves was a lovely cosy comfortable room with a a little window but what a vew over the hills behind Peebles just fantastic would book this room again just for that vew
Couldn't fault the staff very frendy and a lovely breakfast definitely value for money these days in a quality hotel full of character
This hotel is great, rooms are huge We had an enjoyable break with friends, the staff were friendly and attentive. They were always on hand to answer any queries or hive assistance. There is a beautiful golf course, pool ,spa and is a great base for touring the area. Peebles is close by so if you don't want to use your car, the bud stop is a short walk from hotel.
I really appreciate your attention to reducing the carbon footprint of a hotel -- I liked having glass glasses in the room, real cups, very little plastic or one-time use plastic. The breakfast was outstanding and the wait staff, especially Alex in the dining room, were attentive and helpful. Wonderful location, wonderful view, excellent trip !
Staff were amazing and very friendly, nothing seemed too much trouble.
The quality of the food and presentation was excellent and great value for money.
The breakfast was substantial and excellent quality.
Free car parking and right in the centre of a beautiful Scottish town with great wee family run businesses up and down the high street.
The location was situated on the edge of the High Street and everything was in easy walking distance. Decent breakfast always hot and staff extremely accommodating and friendly including bar staff. We’d certainly recommend this hotel for anyone wishing accommodation in Peebles due to its ideal location to amenities and river.
We were given a free bowl of soup and bread to compensate us for the wait time in the restaurant.
There was very good service at breakfast both mornings by the lady and the younger guy who was also very efficient.
The hotel rooms were very clean.
The location was excellent it was just a few mins into Peebles town centre.
Lovely little one bedroom bungalow within easy walking distance of Peebles centre. Had all amenities expected and some which were not i.e. it has fridge, washing machine, oven and microwave as well as a dishwasher. Small sunlounge, garden area back and front with space to park the car in the driveway. Overall excellent
Great place to stay for a night or couple of nights. We were in our way to Edinburgh and was so happy to stay for a night at this hotel with very cool stuff. We booked two rooms, they were clean, warm and cozy. Nothing to complain. The area also looks nice! Also we liked the breakfast!
The host, Barry, was really helpful and easy to get a hold of when we needed him. He went out of his way to try and sort some issues that were out of his control.
The property is cosy and has lots of character, and is in the perfect location for the high street and Peebles in general.
Great little place and aptly named! Lovely and warm, small but all we needed for a weekend stay in Peebles. Both the main bed and the pull-out in the living room were very comfy. The hosts were very responsive to any questions we had. They'd even left us a bottle of wine, so kind!
I was attending a wedding alone because of a bereavement and the staff were very kind. Great breakfasts. Lively, friendly bar. Peebles is charming - one of the churches' bells played proper tunes on Sunday morning.
The breakfast was very nice... Continental items and then a hot dish.
Comfortable beds.
Great location with shopping and pubs nearby.
Parking behind the hotel.
Wonderful staff.
Clean room.
